Masquerade Masks!

I completed me and my wife's Halloween masks today. She is being Mother Nature and I am being the Red Death. Hers was made pretty much from scratch while mine is basically a reworked Phantom of the Opera mask. I made them for the Saints & Sinners Masquerade Ball taking place in Asbury Park this Friday. Ghosts!

I'm doing a series of paintings about the ghosts of Marlboro State Psychiatric Hospital for a solo gallery exhibition in the near future. They're all going to be pretty creepy and I thought I'd showcase one early just in time for Halloween. The textural effect of the figure is achieved using a heat transfer technique, a technique which I will be using throughout the series. This show will also see the largest series I've ever done, more than the usual 3 or 4, it will be closer to 10 in all. I will have more news soon on the location and date of the show as it gets closer.

This piece is entitled "Ghost 1" and is 8 x 10 inches
heat transfer, graphite, watercolor, acrylic and colored pencil

Silent Hill paintings

In the spirit of Halloween I broke from my usual style and did two paintings inspired by my favorite game series of all time, Silent Hill. The first is of Red Pyramid, the baddest motherfucker in the series and the second is Robbie the Rabbit, the creepiest motherfucker in the series! Enjoy!

First Blog!

I'm kind of new to the whole blog thing, but here we go. I will be including all recent artwork as well as any other relevant nonsense that occurs!
This is one of my latest pieces entitled "The Jersey Devil." It's my own take on the devil legend and I sent it in to Weird NJ for it to be hopefully included in their next issue.
